Medit is a global leader for digital dentistry and known for our innovative, open-platform technology. Based in Korea (Seoul) we also have major offices in China and the United States. We are expanding in Europe and are looking for a Director of HR to build and lead our HR function in Germany.
This is a rare opportunity to establish HR infrastructure from the ground up and shape Medit’s workplace culture, talent strategy, and compliance framework in Europe.
As the Director of HR, you will be the strategic HR partner for Medit’s leadership in Germany. You will lead the people strategy, ensuring that Medit attracts, develops, and retains top talent while maintaining compliance with German and EU labor laws.
Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Strategy & Employer Branding
- Develop and execute a talent acquisition strategy to attract and hire top-tier professionals.
- Drive employer branding initiatives to position Medit as an employer of choice in Europe.
- Oversee onboarding programs to ensure seamless integration of new hires into Medit’s culture and workflows.
2. Employee Engagement & Development
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive workplace culture that supports employee engagement and growth.
- Design and implement learning & development programs, including leadership training and performance management.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, providing guidance on HR-related matters.
3. Build & Lead Medit Germany’s HR Function
- Establish (from scratch) Medit’s HR infrastructure in Germany, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
- Partner with leadership to develop an HR strategy that aligns with Medit’s global objectives and fosters an engaging, high-performance culture.
- Design and implement HR policies, compensation structures, and benefits programs tailored to the European market.
- Lead payroll administration, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and coordination with internal and external payroll providers.
4. Compliance & HR Operations
- Ensure full compliance with German and EU labor laws, including GDPR and employment regulations.
- Oversee HR operations, including employee relations, contracts, benefits administration, and HRIS management.
- Leverage HR data & analytics to drive people-related decision-making and provide insights to leadership.
- Establish tools and systems to automate and streamline HR processes.
Experience:
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in multinational or fast-growing companies.
- At least 3-5 years in a leadership role, building and scaling HR functions.
- Strong expertise in German and EU labor laws, payroll, and HR compliance.
- An expert in talent acquisition, performance management, and leadership development.
