Job Summary
Management (CPM) team, specifically within the Carbon Portfolio Offering & Procurement sub-team. This team focuses on meeting the growing demand for climate action (e.g., financing emission reduction projects) and optimizing the carbon credit portfolio.
Your primary responsibilities will include preparing carbon credit proposals and supporting key account managers and business developers across Europe by providing in-depth, project-specific responses to client inquiries. Additionally, you will contribute to internal offering tools, the webshop, and marketing materials related to carbon projects.
You will report directly to the EU Lead.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the Business Development and Key Account Management teams to introduce our carbon credit offerings to potential clients.
- Assist in designing and drafting written proposals for the voluntary carbon market.
- Support the coordination of the offering process, ensuring efficient management of resources, content, and timelines.
- Contribute to the optimization of South Pole’s carbon offset portfolio.
- Work with Key Account Managers to understand client needs for carbon certificates and provide market-related insights.
- Develop a strong understanding of company-wide procedures and processes.
- Coordinate with global Carbon Portfolio Offering team members and colleagues from other carbon portfolio functions.
Requirements
Essential -
- Master degree in a relevant field (e.g., Environmental Management, Sustainability) or a broader field with a demonstrated focus on environmental or sustainability issues (e.g., Engineering, Business, Management, Finance).
- At least one year of relevant work experience in portfolio management, consulting, or similar areas.
- Intermediate IT skills, particularly in CRM systems, Excel and/or Google Sheets, as well as strong analytical skills (including numeracy and financial literacy).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills to engage effectively with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth international environment.
- Fluency in English and German (written and spoken).
Desirable -
- Experience in carbon markets.
- Proficiency in Italian.
- Broad understanding of global sustainability issues.
- Experience working in a multicultural and ethnically diverse global company.
