at the Cologne site in the Date Science and Services department, full-time for a limited period of two years.
ZB MED - Information Center for Life Sciences is the national infrastructure and research center for life science data and information. Our services support research for people and the environment: from medicine and biodiversity to environmental protection.
Information Hub for Life Sciences
We provide the infrastructure for the supply of literature and information, data management and the handling of large amounts of data.
Data Sciences for Life Sciences
We conduct applied and transdisciplinary research. We enable data analysis and generate data potential. As a partner to research, we create new knowledge that is geared towards the needs of the community.
Your Tasks
- Maintenance and operation, as well as design and implementation of web services and software components of the website LIVIVO.de and the underlying backend
- Maintenance and development of data pipelines of the LIVIVO database, the knowledge environment
Your Qualification
- Completed university degree in computer science or comparable qualification with in-depth knowledge of software development
- Solid knowledge of programming, databases and Unix
- Knowledge of the Perl and Python languages is an advantage
- Knowledge of Python programming of Rest APIs using "flask" is an advantage
- Knowledge of relational databases as well as MongoDB and Solr is desirable
- Independent and solution-oriented work
- Ability to communicate and work in a team
- Good knowledge of German and English (ideally both)
- Knowledge of automation ("infrastructure as code") with Ansible is an advantage
