Who will you be working with?
Your direct supervisor will be the head of the Device Software Engineering department and you will work with the other members of the Software and Systems Engineering departments on a daily basis.
How will you make a difference?
As a direct report to the Product Line Head of Software Engineering, you will ensure the overall quality and reliability of our software products and systems are enhanced.
What does your typical working day look like?
- You analyze the current quality issues and their causes and propose corrective actions (processes, tools, training....)
- You support the development of the software quality assurance plan for the project and ensure compliance with quality assurance checks in the development to identify and resolve quality issues at an early stage
- You oversee the verification and validation activities in the projects and the quality of the documentation produced
- You train and supervise the development teams with regard to the applicable standards and processes (including EN50128)
- You carry out the defined software quality assurance activities and ensure compliance with standards, including internal and external audits
- You are responsible for the software quality documentation and ensure that it is kept up to date

- You are responsible for the software quality documentation and ensure it is updated with a focus on current legal requirements
- You are the main consultant for our customer and external auditors in audits related to software development (customer, Iris, etc.)
- Work with supplier engineering teams to ensure software suppliers meet design specifications and quality standards
- You will take an active role in test planning and risk assessment to ensure reliable product delivery and be the software gatekeeper for key releases/projects
What do we want to know about you?
- University degree in computer science/electrical engineering/physics/mathematics/etc.
- More than 5 years of experience in software process management, quality assurance or a similar role
- Strong analytical and leadership skills
- Very good understanding of software testing principles and quality assurance practices
- Fluent in English, German is nice to have
- Ideally familiarity with software tools such as Polarion, GitLab and quality management systems
