Internship - Software and Tool development for Commercial Vehicles

This challenge awaits you:
New emission limits and ambitious CO2 legislation are presenting commercial vehicle manufacturers with new challenges that cannot be overcome with a classic diesel powertrain. That is why we at IAV are developing a new generation of powertrains for commercial vehicles. This includes developing approaches for electrification and hybridization as well as alternative fuels such as hydrogen.
Your Tasks:
- You support the team in the area of tool development and automation of work steps.
- You support the team in day-to-day business with exciting projects.
- You will work independently on a topic in which the task will depend on the type of employment, qualifications and interests.
Necessary Skills:
- Ongoing studies in engineering or information technology such as electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics, automotive engineering, control engineering or a comparable course of study
- Very good knowledge of script programming with MATALB, Python or JavaScript
- Familiarity with working with Git and the use of AI
- Good knowledge of MATLAB / Simulink
- Good programming skills in C/C++ and initial experience in hardware-related programming
- Affinity for developing electronics projects such as Raspberry Pi or Arduino
- Fluency in German (C1 level) and very good knowledge of English (B2 level)
Desired Skills:
- Good basic understanding of electrical engineering and ideally experience in the design of electronic circuits
- Initial experience in bus protocols such as CAN or J1939 desirable
- Motivated and team-oriented appearance paired with a structured and independent way of working
Renumeration is based on our collective wage and salary agreement. The current monthly salary for this position is EUR 979.
