We are looking for a skilled software engineer to join our implementation team.
The implementation team is mainly responsible for:
· Complete system integration
· Programming the communication with the vehicle and factory infrastructure
· DevOps and developer tooling, including logging and visualization
· Motion Control and Path Planning
· State estimation of vehicles, pedestrians and other entities
· Communication between internal components, using DDS
· Safety monitoring features
· Assist with testing the system on-site
We are seeking an experienced software developer who is passionate about design and implementation of robust, scalable, and safe automated-driving systems. You should be proficient in the Rust programming language or be ready to learn it quickly. You should have a strong understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms. You will be responsible for building and maintaining the server-side logic of our services, with the following key responsibilities:
· Design and implement server-side code to control the vehicle remotely.
· Write maintainable, well-tested, and efficient code in Rust.
· Document the codebase and support others in understanding and documenting the system.
· Collaborate in a high-paced, remote-first development team.
· Test with production-ready vehicles in our own test facility in Berlin-Ludwigsfelde.
Your profile:
· You can write high-quality and well-structured Rust code; knowledge of Python is helpful.
· You understand modern developer tools and development workflows, such as version control, CI/CD, IDEs, etc.
· You can span the range from a quick one-off script to a multi-month feature implementation.
· You hold a university degree in a technical field.
· You possess good communication skills.
· You are experienced working in a medium to large code base.
· You challenge and improve upon existing designs.
· You live in or close to Berlin to come to our test facility in Berlin-Ludwigsfelde on a weekly basis, or you are willing to relocate.
To stand out of a crowd:
· R&D experience
· Background working with robotics or related fields
· Having developed safety-critical systems
· Experience with automotive software development standards
· In-depth knowledge of the GStreamer framework
