Our client is a big (2k employees in all major cities in Germany) company with several digital products and services on the market that make easier daily life of their customers.
You will find the dynamics of e-commerce, agile processes, flat hierarchies and steep development curves.
Now they are looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer/System Administrator to make their product even more customer-friendly and efficient.
Requirements:
- Completed IT studies with excellent grades (computer science, media informatics, business informatics or similar) or training as an IT specialist
- Good knowledge of software development with e.g. C#, Java, PHP, Python, Go or another modern programming language and initial experience in creating web applications or mobile apps
- Experience with databases, e.g. MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB
- Interest in front-end technologies such as TypeScript and React
- Initiative and motivation to advance the product, the team and personal development
- Business fluent German (at least C1) and good English skills
Responsibilities:
- Developing new features using the latest web technologies
- Working closely with our product management team to understand business requirements, scrutinize them and develop and implement proposed solutions
- Further development and maintenance of the overall architecture, consisting of frontend, backend, databases, caches, etc.
- You are an active part of a software team and take part in code reviews, pair programming, retrospectives, IT meetings and other processes
- You take responsibility for complex topics at an early stage and act as a contact person for questions on these topics
- Expand your knowledge through company-wide tech talks, expert chats, tech days or employee workshops, among other things
