Responsibilities
- Lead the Project Management Office as part of the core team in a transformation program
- Redesign and introduce processes and methods for managing technically complex large-scale projects
- Functional leadership of approximately 2 team members
- Status determination and reporting to senior management and executives
- Provide and maintain governance structures, templates, tools, and methods (e.g., for status reporting)
- Support project teams in applying PM methods and tools
- Maintain and update program-wide plans and progress reporting (timelines, gates, costs, etc.)
- Prepare presentations, analyses, and dashboards
- Organize and follow up on management meetings, workshops, and retreats
Qualifications
- University degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or similar
- Several years of experience in a PMO role, ideally in transformation programs
- Familiarity with international PM standards (focus on integrated project planning), preferably applied in complex technical industries such as aerospace, defense, rail, or plant engineering
- Proven experience in standardization and automation of project processes using tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Basic skills in integrated project planning (e.g., MS Project)
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, including the ability to clarify conflicting information
- Independent and structured working style, combined with strong presence, assertiveness, and diplomacy
- Fluent in German, strong command of English
