About The Role
We are looking for a motivated and technical individual to join our software and IT team.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys tinkering with technology, solving real-world problems.
You will support our team with a variety of tasks, including research, software and hardware selection, and systems maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on software projects with the software and IT team
- Assist in selecting and evaluating hardware and software
- Conduct research to support technical decisions
- Perform maintenance tasks and basic IT support
- Help ensure smooth operation of internal tools and systems
Your profile
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and communicate research clearly
- Interest in tech shown through examples like:
- Installing Linux on a personal computer
- Running a Minecraft or similar server
- Creating a home lab
- Working or volunteering in an IT setting
- Comfortable working with others in a team setting
Nice To Have
- Experience writing Python in a group or contributing to open source
- Leadership experience (e.g. leading a student club or team)
- Familiarity with automating server maintenance or improving security
