HR Coordinator

An international firm is seeking an HR Coordinator to support its growing team across Germany. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 1–2 years of HR experience who’s ready to step into a standalone HR role within a European operation.
You’ll be the key HR contact for the company’s German offices, providing operational support while working closely with a wider HR team based in the UK. This is a highly visible role where your ability to work independently, handle sensitive employee matters, and manage HR admin will be crucial.
The Role
- Act as the first point of contact for HR matters across Germany
- Manage HR processes from onboarding and contracts to payroll preparation and offboarding
- Handle employee queries and support managers with day-to-day HR tasks
- Ensure compliance with local employment law and liaise with authorities, insurers, and payroll providers
- Take ownership of Germany-wide employee engagement initiatives (e.g., Wellbeing Week, Volunteer Day)
- Oversee general office coordination tasks including suppliers, service providers, fleet, and invoice prep
- Work in close collaboration with UK-based HR colleagues to maintain consistency across European operations
About You
- 1–2 years of HR experience, ideally in a generalist or HR coordinator role
- A qualification in HR is desirable but not essential if you bring strong hands-on experience
- Confident working independently, with a sound understanding of German HR operations
- Professional fluency in German and English
- Well-organised, proactive, and comfortable switching between HR and office admin tasks
- Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude
