Software Developer for Internal Applications (m/f/d)

ABX-CRO is an internationally operating contract research organization based in Dresden. We offer global services in the manufacturing, testing, and approval of pharmaceuticals and diagnostics. Our team focuses on developing and optimizing internal applications to efficiently support clinical, operational, and administrative workflows.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain internal applications supporting clinical, operational, and administrative workflows
- Use modern web technologies like Angular, Java/Java EE (Quarkus), and PostgreSQL
- Extend and integrate HCL Domino/Notes apps; create new workflows and forms in HCL Leap
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable features
- Maintain existing tools and support system modernization and migration (e.g., Notes to Angular/Quarkus)
- Improve UI/UX and optimize performance of internal systems
- Ensure data integrity, documentation, and GxP compliance
- Work with test engineers, validation specialists, and process owners to deliver audit-ready, maintainable code
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Experience in fullstack development, using Angular, Java and Java-based backend frameworks (Quarkus, Glassfish / Payara, etc.)
- Sound knowledge of SQL and experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
- Practical experience with HCL Notes/Domino application development (LotusScript, formula language, XPages)
- Familiarity with HCL Leap (formerly Domino Volt) or willingness to quickly acquire skills in low-code platforms
- Interest in digitalizing business processes and building compliant systems for regulated environments
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- Fluent English is essential; German language skills are beneficial
