I'm currently working with an exciting and fast-growing tech company that's simplifying the way modern software is developed and deployed. They're building the tools that allow developers to spend less time on repetitive infrastructure tasks and more time on building.
To support their growth, they’re looking for passionate backend engineers to join the team responsible for building the next generation of operations tooling for their platform, a system relied on by enterprises to manage cloud-native deployments at scale.
Why this role?
You’ll be joining a highly talented, diverse team (ex-Google, Amazon, Spotify, SAP) with a strong engineering culture and the freedom to choose modern, fit-for-purpose technologies. You’ll be empowered to make technical decisions and build scalable backend systems that directly impact the reliability and efficiency of platform operations.
What you’ll be working on:
You'll be part of a newly formed team focused on improving platform operations, think automation of installation and upgrades, observability (monitoring and alerting), incident response tooling, and operational visibility across deployments.
Key responsibilities:
- Own features end-to-end: from planning and design to implementation, testing and maintenance
- Collaborate on technical design and architecture decisions
- Conduct code reviews and help maintain high engineering standards
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team growth
- Drive improvements for Day 1/Day 2 operations across monitoring, install automation, and updates
Soft skills:
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Strong communicator and collaborative team player
- Positive mindset, eagerness to learn, and openness to feedback
Technical skills:
- Solid understanding of CS fundamentals and problem-solving skills
- Professional experience building scalable backend systems
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and SQL databases
- Experience developing production-grade distributed systems
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, etc.)
- Familiarity with TypeScript or Go
- Experience building public APIs
Bonus:
- Knowledge of authentication methods (OAuth, SSO) and permission management
