As a
People & Culture Manager at BEAT81, you’ll take full ownership of our core people operations—ensuring that every process, from onboarding to payroll and compliance, is not just executed but continuously optimized for efficiency and impact. This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, embraces complexity, and brings both structure and innovation to the table.
You don’t just execute processes; you identify gaps, take initiative, and implement smart, scalable solutions. With a hands-on approach and a strategic mindset, you’ll collaborate across teams to elevate our People function and create a seamless, high-performing employee experience that scales with our growth.
You will:
- Own and optimize onboarding and offboarding processes, creating a seamless and impactful employee journey.
- Manage contracts, documentation, and HRIS data (Personio), ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Lead payroll administration, ensuring 100% accuracy and timely submission in collaboration with Finance.
- Oversee absence and leave management, including long-term sick leave handling and policy improvements.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, proactively addressing risks and maintaining best practices.
- Manage the People inbox with a solution-oriented mindset, delivering timely and strategic communication.
- Administer ESOP documentation and support employee understanding of equity participation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge documentation in Confluence and standardize HR processes.
- Support international team members and candidates in obtaining the necessary visas/work permits, ensuring full compliance with immigration regulations.
- Support strategic reporting and people analytics to drive data-informed decisions.
You have:
- Proven experience in People Operations, HR administration, or similar roles, ideally in a fast-paced, international, or scaling startup environment.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and compliance requirements in Germany.
- Experience with ESOP administration and supporting employees in understanding their equity participation.
- Familiarity with visa and work permit processes for international employees in Germany.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills when managing contracts and documentation.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS tools (Personio preferred) and payroll processes.
- A proactive mindset with a drive to continuously improve systems and workflows.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across all levels.
- Experience in maintaining knowledge-sharing platforms like Confluence.
- Fluency in both English and German.
