As the central IT facility of RWTH Aachen University, the IT Center has stood for quality in a wide range of areas for over 60 years. The IT Center supports the teaching and research tasks and central processes of the university and provides basic services and individual services for the university facilities.
Digitalization, cloud, security and the associated IT infrastructure - we come across these terms in the media every day. Your profile
You have successfully completed training in the field of IT specializing in application development (e.g. IT specialist) or a comparable qualification.
Ideally, You Have The Following
- You have knowledge of application development.
- You have already demonstrated strong communication skills in a technical environment
- Reliability and teamwork for successful project implementation are important to you
- You have knowledge of web application development (preferably PHP Laravel) and ideally knowledge of SQL databases (preferably MySQL).
- You have a good command of written and spoken German.
Your tasks
In the Systems and Operations department, you will support the digitalization of business processes in the areas of research, teaching and administration. You will develop software solutions, in particular web applications with databases. You will work together with colleagues, trainees, customers and users in the institutions of RWTH Aachen University.
Your Tasks Include
- You extend the software of existing web applications.
- You implement existing concepts by developing and testing applications
- You communicate with other departments of the IT Center and RWTH.
Our offer
The recruitment takes place in an employment relationship.
The position is to be filled at the earliest possible date and is limited to 2 years.
The fixed term is based on
- 14 para. 1 of the Part-Time and Fixed-Term Employment Act (TzBfG). This is a full-time position. The classification is based on the TV-L. The position is graded up to EG 9b, depending on personal requirements.
