The Data Management Team is part of the wider Data team, tasked with implementing new data management capabilities as well as overseeing and consulting active data management activities. Our mission is to assist the Bank in achieving its strategic goals, while actively understanding and managing the challenges and risks that come with being a data-driven organization.
Your tasks:
- Building relationships within the team in order to effectively perform the diverse data management/governance tasks and foster cooperation and growth
- Connecting with data governance stakeholders, with the goal of effectively managing the processes of data management
- Relying on our strong analytical background, combining it with the understanding of how Banks work, as well as solid stakeholder management
- Delivering actionable results to the top management, enabling well-informed decisions with a positive impact on the Bank
- Interacting successfully with the Group colleagues, Internal and External Audit and Supervisory Authorities
- Reporting on the developments in the Bank’s data management activities as well as related data risks
- Overseeing the process of managing all phases of implementation of new data management capabilities
- Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the field
Your knowledge:
- Educated to degree level in a relevant subject (Business and information technology related studies)
- Several years’ of professional experience in in data management/governance positions in retail banking
- Solid knowledge of data management/governance frameworks and best practices (ex. DAMA -DMBOK, DCAM)
- Programming skills in SQL/Python or similar languages
- Experience coaching junior colleagues
- Good stakeholder management skills
- Highly analytical approach to problem solving
- Fluency in English (Dutch and/or German is a plus)
