Job Description
Position: Technical Project Engineer – Energy Solutions
Location: Wiesbaden
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Sales Support
Provide in-depth technical support to the sales team, including the design and customization of solutions tailored to customer needs across utility-scale and C&I (Commercial & Industrial) verticals.
2. Project Engineering Interface
Lead technical communication throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure mutual understanding of deliverables, responsibilities, and performance criteria between internal teams and external clients/partners.
3. System-Level Solution Design
Deliver integrated system configurations involving PCS (Power Conversion System), MV transformers, battery racks, and EMS/BMS platforms. Optimize proposals for functional performance and grid compliance.
4. Local Grid Regulation Expertise
Interpret and apply grid connection requirements across different European countries (e.g., CEI 0-21/0-16 in Italy, G99/G100 in the UK, NTS/REE in Spain). Maintain close tracking of regulatory updates and certification needs.
5. Technology Transfer & Learning
Rapidly master the architecture, key parameters, and integration logic of PCS, energy storage containers, and associated control systems. Deliver internal documentation and customer training when required.
6. Cross-Cultural Collaboration

Minimum 3 years of technical experience in one or more of the following sectors:
• PV/ESS inverter or PCS (power conversion system) design/application
• DC conversion systems or hybrid DC/AC platforms
• Battery system integration (LFP, NMC, etc.)
• Renewable energy + battery hybrid projects (e.g., PV + storage, wind + storage)
• Energy storage for grid services (FCR, FRR, peak shaving, islanding, etc.)
• Grid Knowledge
Practical understanding of the European electricity grid structure and standards is required. Familiarity with at least one national grid code in detail (e.g., Germany, Spain, Italy, France) is essential.
• Language Skills
Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in at least one additional European language (e.g., Spanish, Italian, German) is highly preferred.
• Project Exposure
Prior experience collaborating with local European partners (e.g., EPCs, integrators, grid operators) on real storage or hybrid energy projects is strongly preferred.
• Learning Agility
Ability to quickly absorb technical knowledge related to PCS topologies, grid-forming/inertia modes, EMS dispatching logic, and safety standards. Adapt well to fast-paced international environments.
