IT Administrator - Renewable Energy Sector - €50,000 – €70,000
Piper Maddox is seeking an IT System Administrator with a strong focus on Windows environments for a leading business at the forefront of the German energy market. The company specialises in the grid integration of decentralised renewable energy plants, driving the energy transition and advancing technical innovations both domestically and internationally.
You'll play a key role in managing and optimising the IT infrastructure that supports critical renewable energy platforms. From ensuring reliable system performance to automating processes, your work will directly impact how renewable energy is managed, scaled, and optimised for the future.
Role:
- Administration, maintenance, and optimisation of Windows servers and environments.
- Manage and maintain IT tools such as Jira, GitLab, and containerisation platforms like Docker (Windows-based).
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline software deployment and updates.
- Collaborate on network administration tasks, including managing firewalls, monitoring, and ensuring security and performance.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and system management.
- Provide occasional support for Linux systems, ensuring smooth cross-platform integration.
- Work alongside cross-functional teams to ensure the infrastructure supports ongoing projects in renewable energy and grid optimisation.
Background:
- Strong experience in Windows server administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows-based applications.
- Proficiency in Jira, GitLab, and Docker (Windows containers).
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration tasks.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Basic knowledge of Linux environments for occasional support and integration tasks.
- Experience in network administration and managing firewalls.
- At least C1-level German
