Our client is a German medical device manufacturer, part of a global holding. The company is going through a cultural transformation, focusing on talent management and product development.
The role of an HR and Talent Manager is new in the company and will be working directly with the CEO. The main task of the role will be to set up the HR and drive cultural transformation.
The company needs a proficient German speaker with excellent knowledge of German law.
Please note that the position has no direct reports.
PLEASE NOTE the role is HYBRID and travel to the HQ will be required (1 hour drive from Stuttgart).
Key responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Partnering: Act as a close advisor to the CEO, bringing strategic insight to organisational changes.
- Cultural Change Leadership: Spearhead the cultural transformation journey already initiated, fostering accountability and engagement while addressing disengagement challenges.
- Talent Assessment: Evaluate the current team, identify top talent, and recommend strategies to maximise their potential.
- Legal Expertise: Guide employee compliance, ensuring alignment with German employment laws.
- Other related HR responsibilities.
Key requirements:
- Relevant University degree.
- HR management experience, including workforce planning and changes, talent development, and employee relations.
- Proven experience in leading organisational transformation and change management initiatives - the ability to foster a culture that emphasises accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Prior experience in HR roles within manufacturing, preferably in medical devices or related regulated industries.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and coaching skills to manage and guide diverse teams.
- Doer and self-starter attitude.
- Experience and knowledge of German employment laws and unions.
- Proficient German and fluent English are essential.
- Travel - the role is hybrid and will require visits to the sites in the Baden-Württemberg area.
