About the Role

We are seeking an experienced UI/UX Designer (20-30 hours per week) with fluency in French and a strong background in designing eCommerce, marketplace or B2B SaaS applications. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing user-centric solutions, creating prototypes, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to shape our products.

Your Responsibilities

Lead the entire design process, from user insights/research to high-fidelity prototypes
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into user-friendly designs
Develop and maintain design systems to ensure consistency across products
Conduct user research, usability testing, utilize analytics tools and analyze feedback to constantly enhance the user experience
Advocate for user-centric design principles and best practices across the team
Being the mediator of customer needs, business goals and technical efficiency
Stay informed about the latest trends in UX design, eCommerce, marketplace platforms and B2B SaaS applications

Your Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience:

A minimum of 3 years of experience in UX/UI design
Deep understanding of user-centric design principles and UX best practices
An intuitive eye for customer needs beyond the obvious
Proficiency in prototyping and design tools
Strong problem-solving abilities with a pragmatic approach to balancing user needs and business objectives
Understanding of the technical implications of your design decisions and knowing when to compromise
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively to stakeholders
Strong organizational skills and the capability to work independently
Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Previous experience in an agile environment
Experience with Figma
Experience working with established design systems e.g., Material UI, Ant Design
Experience or background in graphic design
Experience with eCommerce, marketplaces, B2B SaaS products
Practical knowledge of Hotjar, Google Analytics, and other analytics tools
Knowledge of product management
