About the Role
We are seeking an experienced UI/UX Designer (20-30 hours per week) with fluency in French and a strong background in designing eCommerce, marketplace or B2B SaaS applications. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing user-centric solutions, creating prototypes, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to shape our products.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead the entire design process, from user insights/research to high-fidelity prototypes
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into user-friendly designs
- Develop and maintain design systems to ensure consistency across products
- Conduct user research, usability testing, utilize analytics tools and analyze feedback to constantly enhance the user experience
- Advocate for user-centric design principles and best practices across the team
- Being the mediator of customer needs, business goals and technical efficiency
- Stay informed about the latest trends in UX design, eCommerce, marketplace platforms and B2B SaaS applications
Your Qualifications
Essential Skills and Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in UX/UI design
- Deep understanding of user-centric design principles and UX best practices
- An intuitive eye for customer needs beyond the obvious
- Proficiency in prototyping and design tools
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a pragmatic approach to balancing user needs and business objectives
- Understanding of the technical implications of your design decisions and knowing when to compromise
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively to stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills and the capability to work independently
- Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in an agile environment
- Experience with Figma
- Experience working with established design systems e.g., Material UI, Ant Design
- Experience or background in graphic design
- Experience with eCommerce, marketplaces, B2B SaaS products
- Practical knowledge of Hotjar, Google Analytics, and other analytics tools
- Knowledge of product management
