The role:
Reporting to the Director of Engineering you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and shaping Arcual’s applications, while ensuring scalability and managing complexity.
This role involves close collaboration with product and design teams, taking full ownership of feature delivery and the front-end codebase. You will work collaboratively with other front-end, back-end and blockchain engineers, in an agile environment, with the goal of delivering a high-quality user experience.
Engineering Department:
Our engineering team works in close collaboration with product and design to tackle big technical topics and build awesome products. We’re a mix of frontend, backend, and blockchain engineers with a passion for high-quality software that uses both tried-and-true and cutting-edge technology. It’s all about the right tool for the job.
Working with us you’ll have the opportunity to go deep in your area of expertise, as well as getting familiar with the other kinds of work that we do. We are looking for engineers who are curious, collaborative, solution-oriented, and eager to tackle new challenges.
Your responsabilities:
- Collaborate closely with product and design teams to implement features and conduct feasibility checks on features in the development pipeline.
- Use Vue 3 (composition API), Typescript & SASS to implement application front-end features with a focus on usability, stability and scalability.
- Participate in implementation work as part of an agile delivery team - including testing, ensuring stability, performance and security.
- Promote agile and iterative development practices within the team.
- Stay updated on the latest front-end technology developement.
Your profile:
- Proven expertise in software engineering best practices, including proven expertise in Vue 3 (composition API), Typescript and SASS/CSS.
- Practical experience with test-driven development, unit testing, code reviews, and design documentation.
- Substantial experience in developing frontends in a product delivery context.
- Strong CSS/SASS skills - accurate implementation of Figma designs is very important.
- A startup mindset with the ability to balance strategic and tactical solutions.
- Familiarity with stability, performance, and security considerations in frontend development.
- A demonstrated interest in staying up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancement.
- Genuine interest in what we’re doing within the industry.
The Tech Stack:
- Our frontend stack is Vue 3 (composition API),Typescript, SASS & Pinia.
- Communication with our platform is via REST and SSE (documented in Swagger).
- For testing we make heavy use of Jest and Cypress.
- The infrastructure stack is AWS managed with Terraform.
- GitHub & GitHub actions are used for code management & deployment.
- We also provide hardware (your choice of OS), Intellij & CoPilot licences.
Our Hiring Process:
- The first step would be a technical screening with two front-end engineers.
- This is followed by an interview with product and design to discuss processes and product experience.
- Next will be a chat with an engineering team lead and a back end engineer to establish team fit and collaboration skills.
- Finally there will be a coffee chat with the Director of Engineering.
