We are urgently seeking a Project Scheduler / Cost Controller to join a major
energy/pharmaceutical construction project based in Alzey, Germany.
This is not a typical office-based planning role. We're looking for someone who can get out on site, understand the reality of daily operations, spot inefficiencies, and proactively address issues such as contractor clashes and delays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage project schedules with a strong focus on workflow efficiency
- Identify on-site issues (clashes, bottlenecks, delays) and help resolve them in real-time
- Work closely with construction and engineering teams to align planning with actual site progress
- Control and monitor project costs, providing clear financial oversight and reporting
- Ensure that timelines and budgets are realistic, tracked, and met
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Strong background in project planning and scheduling on construction or industrial projects
- Proven cost control and budgeting experience
- Piping systems experience – this is critical
- Comfortable working both on-site and in-office
- Experience in pharma, energy, nuclear, oil & gas, or similar complex project environments
