What You Will Do
As Operations Coordinator at the Kuehne Climate Center (KCC) you will run and innovate key management processes across all operational functions (e.g., HR, IT, Finance, Legal&Risk, Leadership Ops). You will work directly with the Center’s CEO and Leadership Team in establishing an efficient operational model and in developing and using management tools supporting our operations and team management.
Together with internal and external operational service providers you will help advance our
- Recruiting, career development, team learning and upskilling,
- Impact and success measurement, financial monitoring and reporting, accounting preparedness,
- Labor contracting, partnership and service agreements, risk management, procurement
- International team operations and leadership assistance, KCC office and document management, and scheduling.
The KCC is a new subsidiary of the Kühne Foundation. Our mission is to accelerate climate-compatible development within logistics (Climate Action in Logistic - CiL) and through logistics systems (Logistics for Climate Action - LfC). We do this through applied research & thought leadership, project & advisory work, and training & capacity building, with a focus on countries of the global South.

You bring
- 2-3 years operations experience in a fast-paced service industry environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in a management- or operations-related field
- Experience in or strong passion for logistics and climate-related business topics
- Advanced written and oral communication skills
- Fluency in English
- Can-do mentality and independent work style
- Ability to connect with remote team and leadership
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and to work in start-up mode
- Demonstrated commitment or experience of working in or with low- and middle-income countries are an advantage
- Basic legal knowledge is an advantage
