About the client and role
Our client is the global leader in automotive, serving OEMs and tier one suppliers across the mobility space. They are seeking an experienced HR Director – Europe to lead regional human resources strategy.
This role is central to achieving key business objectives through effective human capital management, policy execution, and team leadership. The HR Director will work closely with local and global leadership to support organizational development, compliance, and workforce performance across the region.
Responsibilities
- Advise leadership on organization design, succession planning, and staffing strategies aligned with business goals
- Ensure compliance with all statutory employment requirements across European locations
- Maintain a strong and agile talent pipeline in line with evolving operational needs
- Lead and manage total compensation programs, including salary, incentives, benefits, and retirement offerings
- Develop and implement employee relations and labor relations strategies to support stability and engagement
- Oversee the preparation and management of HR budgets; contribute to global financial planning through analysis of headcount and cost data
- Coach, guide, and mentor both direct and indirect HR team members across multiple sites
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within HR operations, systems, and practices
Skills and Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SPHR); Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience across multiple manufacturing facilities
- Proven experience leading collective bargaining and labor relations efforts
- Strong communication, coaching, and mentoring abilities
- Deep understanding of employment law and regulatory frameworks in Europe
- Demonstrated expertise in organizational development and change management
- Ability to lead through influence in a matrixed, multicultural environment.
