About the role:
As a People & Culture Business Partner, you will play a strategic role in shaping the employee experience, ensuring seamless HR operations, and fostering a strong company culture across multiple European locations. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership and drive high-impact HR initiatives, from onboarding and talent development to performance management, compensation, and compliance. What you'll do:
- Employee Lifecycle & Experience: Own end-to-end HR processes (onboarding, performance, learning & development, benefits, administration, offboarding) while ensuring a seamless and engaging employee experience.
- HR Business Partnering: Act as a trusted advisor to leadership and managers, providing strategic people guidance on career development, talent retention, and employee engagement.
- HR Strategy & Projects: Lead and implement key HR initiatives, including career path frameworks, compensation reviews, and performance management programs.
- Culture & Transformation: Champion Lobsterâs values and actively contribute to fostering an inclusive, high-performing, and innovative work culture.
- Process Automation & AI Utilization: Leverage AI-driven HR tools to streamline operations, automate administrative tasks, and optimize HR workflows beyond simple chat-based prompts.
- Compliance & International HR Operations: Ensure compliance with DACH, UK, Netherlands, and France employment regulations while integrating best HR practices across multiple locations.
- HR Systems & Data Analytics: Oversee HRIS platforms, performance management tools, and engagement solutions, using data-driven insights to support decision-making.
- Leadership & Coaching: Develop manager enablement programs and support leadership in building high-performing teams. (Coaching/leadership development certifications are a plus.)
- Problem-Solving & Ownership: Take a pragmatic approach to challenges, delivering better-done-than-perfect solutions with a long-term impact.
- Entrepreneurial Thinking: Act proactively, take ownership of initiatives, and bring innovative HR solutions to support Lobsterâs growth.
Who you are:
- HR expertise in international environments â Strong experience in tech and/or scale-up companies, with knowledge of cross-border HR operations (DACH, UK, NL, FR).
- Compensation & Benefits experience â Ability to design and implement competitive, equitable, and scalable compensation structures.
- Strong HR Business Partnering skills â Experience partnering with leadership teams and providing strategic people insights.
- Learning & Development & Performance Management â Passion for talent development, leadership enablement, and structured performance frameworks.
- Deep knowledge of European labor law â Especially in Germany, Netherlands, UK, and France.
- Process-driven & automation mindset â Comfortable leveraging AI & HR tech to enhance workflows and reduce manual processes.
- People-first approach & cultural leadership â Passionate about creating an engaging, inclusive workplace and fostering positive employee experiences.
- Analytical & strategic thinker â Ability to translate HR insights into business impact and use HR data to inform decisions.
- Fluent in English & German â Additional languages (Dutch/French) are a plus.
- Hands-on & proactive â A self-starter who thrives in fast-changing environments and takes initiative.
