We're looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join us in building the future of chartering. seabo is a SaaS platform transforming the global shipping industry — a domain still dominated by manual workflows. You’ll work on a modern tech stack to digitize the chartering process and solve real-world challenges.

Tasks at seabo - responsibilities
- You'll work with modern technologies such as Node.js, Java, React, TypeScript, and cloud-native tools like Kubernetes (EKS) and AWS. Experience with stream processing (Kafka, Spark) is a plus
- Contribute significantly to the technical delivery of the seabo platform, engaging in architecture planning, code structure, and code reviews.
- Ensure platform stability and continuously improve the system to align with the latest state-of-the-art technologies.
- Architect, develop, and implement a library of reusable components to streamline development, improve consistency, and accelerate feature delivery.
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Work closely with other Engineers and the COO to ensure the technical work is aligned with the overall business strategy and goals.
What we expect - requirements:
- Proven Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience with a strong foundation in Node.js, React, TypeScript, Java, and PHP.
- Cloud Native: Solid understanding of cloud computing principles and architectures, with the ability to design and implement cloud-based solutions mainly in AWS incl. Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Architecture: Knowledge of microservices architecture and experience with big data analytics concepts.
- Databases: Practical experience with relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
- Data Streaming Technologies: Strong understanding of Apache Spark, Apache Flink, Kafka, Grafana, and related technologies.
- Ability to work autonomously on complex technical challenges while aligning with strategic goals, and a passion for software development.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies, including Scrum and Test-Driven Development.
- Fluency in English and preferably in German.
