Who We Are
Genie TechBio is building cutting-edge LLM-powered software to help biologists analyze data independently—no coding required. We’re a fast-moving startup with a small but mighty team, and we’re looking for a Software Engineer who’s ready to take on a leadership role and help us scale. If things go well, you could be promoted to Head of Engineering within 3 months.
What You’ll Do
● Lead the development of scalable, high-quality software solutions.
● Work across the full stack to build and maintain applications.
● Drive best practices in software engineering, ensuring clean, maintainable code.
● Develop and integrate LLM-powered features, including prompt engineering, structured outputs, and tool calling.
● Collaborate closely with the team to plan and execute large software projects.
● Manage version control using Git and ensure smooth deployment processes.
What We’re Looking For
● 3-5 years of industry experience in software engineering.
● Proven team lead/project management experience.
● Strong background in scalable software development and large projects.
● Strong expertise in several compiled and non-compiled languages, such as Python, Java, C, C++, Golang or Rust.
● Experience with LLM applications (prompt engineering, structured outputs, tool calling).
● A passion for writing high-quality code that’s built to last.
