About the Senior Engineering Manager Vacancy:
You will lead an international team of 10-12 Software and Web and Data Engineers, and you will be responsible for the Implementation Services delivered to customers. They do a lot of work on Extracting, Scraping, Crawling Data from websites through Data Processing Pipelines.
Your main tech areas of responsibility will be around Technical Implementations and Software and Infrastructure.
You will also be involved in the overall direction of DevOps, Infrastructure, Data, Visualisation etc.
You will be responsible for steering the team to deliver the best possible solutions to the customers.
You will be the person to drive the Utilisation of the Implementation Services.
You will be a trusted advisor and partner that understands the customer's business and strategy.
You will work closely with management on the strategy, direction, and growth of the Software and Data Engineering division.

You will steer the team to deliver the best solutions to the customers.

Ideal Requirements for the Senior Engineering Manager Vacancy:
This vacancy is for a Manager on the Engineering side.
This will be a Customer-Facing and Tech-Focused position.
They want someone with leadership experience, but someone who is also hands-on.
Ideally they want someone who “gets it” – who has been technical in the past.
In other words, someone already developed on the technical side from a hands-on background.
The ideal profile is someone who comes from a Web Development and/or Data Engineering background.
Something in-between Web Development background and Data Engineering background would be perfect.
Nice-to-haves:
Python development experience
Data Engineering background
Data Science tools experience and SQL
They run on AWS – any Cloud experience would be nice
Someone from a consultancy background would be suitable for this position.
They want someone who can take the team of developers forwards.
Soft Skills:
- People Management experience
- Experience of Leadership of a team across multiple sites and projects
- Understanding of the the full End-to-End Technical Implementation Delivery Process from Pre-Sales through to Go-Live
- Senior stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- Delivery experience within a Consultancy
- Managing customer expectations such that escalations can be avoided
- Identifying short and long-term strategies to assist in the growth and business objectives of the customer
- Very good communication and presentation skills to work in a multi-cultural, multinational environment
- Significant project experience in strategic data analytics topics, preferably in the context of sales, marketing and / or customer interface
- Passion for interdisciplinary collaboration
- Excellent solution, communication and negotiation skills
- Proven experience in successful employee management
- Fluency in German
