Hi there! Nerit'e is a young startup based in Aachen on a mission to reduce input waste in agriculture, benefitting the planet and farmers. We help farmers reduce 33% of fertilizer to make them more profitable and sustainable. To do this, we developed an innovative sensor that reads soil data. Now, we need help developing the software that makes the data valuable to the farmer. Your role with us is critical, you will bring the necessary skills to refine our existing webapp and continue to develop it into a working product.
What will you be doing?
- Development of new features in an existing web app for smart agriculture
- Improving existing web app features according to business needs and user feedback
- Testing existing implementation for bugs and errors
- Deploying new versions of the webapp to the AWS production environment
- Improving, optimizing, and maintaining the company's AWS infrastructure with respect to performance, cost, and security
What do you need to know?
- Development in Linux environments
- Practical knowledge of Ruby on Rails & ReactJS programming
- PostgreSQL database knowledge
- Understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure - including EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, etc.
- Familiarity with Git version control & issue tracking
Starting salary is €15/hr based on working student salary standards in Germany. Ideal working hours are between 10-20 hours per week. We are english-speaking and result-oriented, so achieving goals is priotized over fixed working hours. The possibility of remote work can be discussed. Don't meet all the requirements?
