PROJECT MANAGER - Onshore Wind Europe (m/f/d)
Directly reporting to the Director Project Management Europe.
Responsibilities and expertise the project manager shall bring to the company include:
- Start preparing Projects already during the Sales Phase with regards to feasibility studies, scheduling and cost planning
- Coordinate and monitor the execution phase of the projects from start to finish
- Establish clear lines of communication and ensuring that all projects team members, contractors and consultants are working towards achieving the projects goals and objectives
- Manage teams of internal resources, contractors, and consultants to achieve projects targets
- Ensure that contractors are performing and providing deliverables as per the construction contracts
- Oversee and review works designs to ensure requirements are being met
- Manage and control construction projects budgets and provide cash flow forecasting
- Monitor contractors QA/QC processes and overall quality
- Manage and mitigate both internal and external risks within the project’s construction phase
- Report on work progress, budget status, and schedule status on a weekly & monthly basis
- Travel to site regularly and if needed to review progress/schedule, meet contractors and resolve issues/questions
- Provide technical and other support for production of RFQs
- Provide support for Customer and Supplier contracts negotiations
- Perform due diligence tasks on new project opportunities
Studies: Engineering degree (Electrical, civil or mechanical) or equivalent.
Work Experience:
- Experience in project management execution (possibly wind farm) with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations; grid utilities & planning authorities’ requirements would be a plus.
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing the electrical interfaces (OEM/BOP/GRID) between parties is an advantage.
Languages: German and English fluent, further European languages or Chinese are a plus
Location: Hamburg (Germany)
Frequent travels to Customer visits and the project sites located in Europe as well as to the headquarter in China are required
IT Skills:
- Deep knowledge of all Microsoft Applications, CAD and SAP
- Expert on MS Project, Primavera and/or other Project Mgmt application
