About Us
At 16 Tons Entertainment, we’re the Studio behind Emergency HQ, a profitable growing mobile game. We are a veteran Studio with 30 years of history and are developing original games based on our own IP . We’re looking for a talented Senior UI/UX Designer/Artist who can balance leading a more junior UI/UX Designer and being a hands-on contributor to deliver exceptional player experiences.
Your Role
As a Senior UI Designer/Artist, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping how players interact with our games. You’ll lead the UI/UX design process, create intuitive and visually stunning visuals, and ensure that every interface aligns with the Emergency HQ brand. Additionally, you will take on the responsibility of planning and organizing the UI/UX tasks for the project, ensuring high-quality output and smooth collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
• UI/UX Design: Lead the creation of user-centered interfaces that enhance gameplay and drive engagement.
• Visual Design: Develop high-quality UI assets, including menus, HUDs, icons, and animations.
• Prototyping: Utilize tools for prototyping, producing, and animating assets to communicate ideas effectively.
• Team Leadership: Organize and manage the UI/UX team, providing mentorship, feedback, and fostering a collaborative environment.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams (game design, 2D/3D art, and development) to ensure seamless integration of UI elements into the game.
• Brand Consistency: Ensure the UI aligns with the visual style and tone of Emergency HQ.
• Optimization: Iterate and improve the UI based on player feedback and analytics, always striving for the best possible user experience.
What We’re Looking For
• Experience: 5+ years in UI/UX design for mobile games, with a portfolio showcasing high-quality and impactful work.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in tools for prototyping, producing, and animating UI assets.
• Game Knowledge: Deep understanding of mobile game design and F2P mechanics.
• Creativity: Passion for delivering intuitive and visually stunning designs that engage players.
• Leadership: Experience in mentoring and organizing a team, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to balance design innovation with technical and business constraints.
Nice-to-Haves
• Experience working on games with live service models (F2P).
• Knowledge of Unity or other game engines.
• Familiarity with localization and accessibility in UI design.
