- Monthly salary: Up to 4500 USD
- This role will work on-site under the company's contract in Berlin, Germany. Relocation: For the eligible relocation positions, we provide 1-way tickets for the new employee and their family and 1 month of accommodation with registration in Berlin. We also support a work permit if a candidate needs one.
Hiring process:
- Technical test: 3-hour home assignment
- 30-45 minutes interview with Head of Testing
- Final Interview: 3-4h remote or on-site interview (depending on candidate’s location) with test case
Job overview and responsibility:
- Perform final release tests for new versions of the company to ensure proper functionality, logical consistency, and intelligibility of products.
- Maintain, develop, and enhance automatic test routines to optimize testing processes.
- Conduct testing on various hardware platforms, including tablets, PCs, docking stations, and smartphones.
- Reproduce software errors reliably and provide detailed documentation to facilitate understanding and resolution of issues.
- Communicate clearly and effectively to ensure accurate reporting of problems for timely fixes.
- Document errors and related information in the internal system for tracking and analysis.
- Verify the resolution of reported issues after developers address them.
- Contribute to the internal Knowledge Base, capturing the evolving functionality and features of the company.
Required skills and experiences:
We're looking for applicants with a high level of self-motivation. This position requires fluency in both written and spoken English. Our testing department is still growing, which allows you to influence and build up your own working environment.
1. A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in software testing, quality assurance, or a similar role, mainly focus on auto testing on hardware.
3. Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Understanding of software development processes and methodologies.
- Knowledge of various hardware platforms (tablets, PCs, smartphones, etc.).
4. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail for identifying and reproducing software errors.
5. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear documentation and reporting (English)
6. Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and take initiative in structuring tasks.
7. Team Collaboration: Experience working in a collaborative environment with developers and other stakeholders.
8. Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and testing methodologies.
