For our R&D Center in Raunheim, near Frankfurt, we are looking for a IT Engineer.
As an IT Engineer, you are responsible for managing local IT operations, including account configuration via Microsoft AD, network equipment setup and maintenance, Sophos firewall and VPN management, IT asset tracking. Support desktop troubleshooting, ensure stable network infrastructure, and oversee digital asset management like Blueberry.
Job Responsibilities:
Desktop IT Support
- Configure and manage user domain accounts and permissions through Microsoft Active Directory (AD), ensuring the stability and security of the domain environment.
- Provide desktop support to employees, resolving hardware and software issues, including Windows and Linux operating systems.
Local Network Maintenance
- Configuration and management of VLANs and WAN
- Perform regular checks and maintenance of the local network infrastructure to ensure high availability and security.
Sophos Firewall and VPN Management
- Configure and manage Sophos firewalls, including security policies, access control, and traffic monitoring.
- Set up and maintain VPN services to provide reliable network connections for remote users.
IT Asset Management
- Manage the company’s IT hardware and software assets, including procurement, inventory management, and lifecycle tracking.
- Regularly update and maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets.
Linux System Administration
- Proficient in Linux operating systems, capable of performing basic installation, configuration, and maintenance tasks.
- Support Linux-based environments for development and testing needs.
DAM System Management
- Familiarity with Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems, such as Blueberry, to manage and maintain enterprise digital assets and access permissions.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize digital asset workflows and enhance efficiency.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in IT support, system administration, and network management.
- Proficient in Microsoft AD, Sophos firewall, network configuration, and management tools.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively support cross-departmental IT needs.
- High service orientation and ability to work in a team
- Fluency in English and German is required; proficiency in Chinese is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with DAM systems (e.g., Blueberry).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, Sophos Certified Engineer, Linux certifications).
- Familiar with storage services of mainstream cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiar with virtual machines.
