We are seeking an Application Engineer to join our team and contribute to our next-generation automotive High-Speed Network technology.
Job Summary:
As an Application Engineer at Axonne, you will play a pivotal role in supporting customers and driving the development of application designs for our automotive Ethernet solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design and hardware engineers, to ensure successful integration and adoption of Axonne products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creation of Demos for tradeshows and conferences showcasing Axonne’s Ethernet products.
- Schematic and layout review for application designs and customer projects.
- Development of Reference Designs, including creation of schematics for customer use.
- Board bring-up and debugging of prototype systems to ensure functionality and performance.
- Support for external test houses, including bring-up activities related to EMC and interoperability testing.
- Authoring application notes for Ethernet products to support customers with technical insights.
- Review of technical collaterals, such as datasheets and manuals, for accuracy and clarity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a relevant engineering role.
- Strong debugging skills for both software and hardware to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and chip configuration.
- Basic knowledge of C programming.
- Solid understanding of interfaces, including I2C, SPI, UART, MDIO, Ethernet, CSI2, and SerDes.
- Knowledge of Ethernet protocols, such as gPTP, TSN, and 1722.
- Basic knowledge of Linux, with experience using tools like Wireshark.
- Proficiency in common office tools for documentation and data analysis.
- Experience with Cadence Allegro or other PCB CAD tools (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of automotive systems, including ADAS with cameras and sensors.
- Familiarity with EMC performance considerations in automotive environments.
